Accounting Assistant Position

Full time, benefit eligible position. Minimum requirement of high school diploma. Concentration in payroll, tax application and accounting services. Must possess excellent computer, interpersonal, communication, telephone skills, and knowledge of general office procedures. The ability to work independently is required.  Must be responsible to assist the business administrator and schools with the day to day payroll duties in the operation of the district including: maintaining various employee payroll files including, but not limited to, timesheets, employee leave requests, tax forms, benefit forms, PSERS data and other applicable information, proper account coding for all payroll expenditures, quarterly payroll report submissions to local, state and federal government entities, monthly processing of all employee benefits, monthly production of treasurer report for school board approval, and bi-weekly processing of district payrolls. Also responsible for processing and maintaining real estate, per capita and occupational tax data in the district’s Financial Information System.
