The Line Mountain Middle School Envirothon team of Evan Herb, Blake Wirt, Keri Ferster, Chelsea Lahr, and Tyler Brosious placed 7th overall out of 34 area teams in the recent Envirothon competition at the Montour Preserve.

The team of John Masser, Colby Herb, Riley Heim, Katelynne Micheal, and Jenna Brosious placed first in the Aquatics Division and 10th overall.

Line Mountain Freshman Chance Hackenburg (far right) recently competed in the National Turkey Calling Championships in Nashville, Tennessee.  Chance finished 5th in the National competition placing three spots better than last years event.  Chance became interested in hunting and calling at the early age of 9.  At the age of 13, Chance began to compete in local turkey calling competitions which eventually led to qualifying for the Grand National Competition.  Last year he finished in 8th place and won a guided turkey hunt in Nebraska.  Congratulations Chance.
