Line Mountain Youth in Philanthropy

The Line Mountain Area High School Youth in Philanthropy club provides grant opportunities to non-profit organizations in the Line Mountain School District. The club focuses on analyzing the needs throughout the community to provide assistance for local students and other community members. After a recent survey conducted by the LM YIP students, the top needs were identified as lack of transportation, job opportunities, and a lack of public services as well as non-profits that address the overall well-being of the community. YIP currently has $5,000 to distribute between organizations that will provide for the community’s needs.

Line Mountain Youth in Philanthropy’s funding priority areas are:

  • Lack of Transportation
  • Job Opportunities
  • Lack of Public Services

There are 13 school districts participating in Youth in Philanthropy this year.  To view complete information and start the application process, visit the Youth in Philanthropy page of the Community Giving Foundation website: https://csgiving.org/2023/02/youth-in-philanthropy-grantround-2023/.
