This week we will begin Unit D-Cycles on Earth and in Space. This week we wrapped out out the water cycle and water treatment. On Tuesday we had a guest speaker come and discuss water treatment. The kids really enjoyed this presentation and learned some new things about water treatment! The rest of the week we will discuss the ocean. Students will learn about the ocean floor, ocean currents and ocean resources.

~Mrs. Hickoff’s Reading Class~
In Reading class we are continuing to read the wonderful novel The Watson’s go to Birmingham. Students got a little lesson on the Civil Right’s Movement and Martin Luther King Jr. Students are enjoying reading about the Weird Watsons! They love seeing what antics Byran is going to do next and see how Kenny and Joey react to his punishments. This week students will take a look at the different themes in the story. Students will continue to read chapters daily and discuss literary elements and moments in history.
