Research indicates that a student involved in interscholastic athletics and other co-curricular activities has a greater chance for success during adulthood. Many of the character traits required to be a successful participant in athletics are exactly those that will promote a successful life after high school. Line Mountain School District believes that athletics is an integral part of the educational system. Leadership, dedication, loyalty, sportsmanship, and teamwork are only a few of the skills that are learned through participation in athletics that may not be learned in the traditional classroom setting.

The Line Mountain School District promotes positive and purposeful programs. The Line Mountain Athletic Department believes that “The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.” With the help of coaches, parents and students alike, participation in our athletic programs will promote both physical and mental growth and development for all involved.

The Line Mountain School District believes that participation in athletics is a privilege, not a right. The athletic programs sponsored here at Line Mountain require a student to meet certain standards in the areas of academics, behavior, and sportsmanship. These standards will be expected to be met by each individual that participates in Line Mountain athletics.

Line Mountain School District is a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association member school. All PIAA rules and regulations are followed as prescribed by the PIAA. These include eligibility rules with regards to academics, age, and attendance.

Line Mountain School District Athletic Department is a proud tradition. Line Mountain is proud to have had several state, regional, district, sectional, and league team champions and runners-up. Line Mountain has also been blessed with several individual achievements and recognitions such as state place winners and all-state team members.
